Since 1988, on the second Tuesday of each month, The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall’s free Music at Noon concert series has highlighted the work of exceptional regional musicians with a diverse mix of musical styles. The 2017-18 Music at Noon series at the Music Hall continues with a performance by the Bleecker Consort:

  • Beth Gurzler vocals, recorders, flute, crumhorns, hurdy-gurdy
  • Jack Ishman vocals, lute, cittern, guitar, hammered dulcimer, sackbut
  • Allen Lescak recorders, cornamuse, sackbut, percussion
  • Michael Murphy vocals, recorders, kelhorns, percussion
  • Deb Segel vocals, recorders, dulcimer, percussion
  • Janie Schwab recorders, dulcian, bass crumhorn, hurdy gurdy, harp

With a program of Medieval and Renaissance music of the Iberian Kingdoms, you’ll hear exotic and unusual music played on early musical instruments including capped reeds (crumhorn, corrnamuse, kelhorn, dulcian), strings (hammered dulcimer, lute, mandolin, hurdy-gurdy), recorders, flute, early brass (sackbut), percussion, and vocals.

Remember for the Music at Noon concerts, The Hall opens at 11:00 am. So, bring your lunch and come listen to some great music!
