Seagle Music Colony: “My Fair Lady” | Loewe, Lerner

The Seagle Music Colony, the oldest summer singer training program in the country, was founded in 1915 by world renowned baritone Oscar Seagle. Celebrating its 102nd season in summer 2017, Seagle Music Colony continues to be the premier opera and musical theatre producing organization in New York’s Adirondack region.

Seagle Music Colony concludes its Mainstage season with a production of My Fair Lady with music by Frederick Loewe and book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner. Based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, My Fair Lady has become one of the most beloved and well-known musicals of all time with its unforgettable tunes and a heart-warming story. No audience member can dare not fall in love with Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl, as she transforms from flower girl to lady at the hands of Professor Henry Higgins, a phoneticist.

The production is directed by Richard Kagey with music direction/piano accompaniment by José Meléndez.
