Maverick Concerts, the oldest continuous summer chamber music festival in America, continues its second century of Music in the Woods with a performance culminating a mini-residency by the acclaimed contemporary string quartet ETHEL.

The program, entitled “The Blue Dress,” includes music by Anna Clyne, Missy Mazzoli, and Pulitzer prize winner Julia Wolfe. Repertoire is paired with the string quartet’s arrangements of music by their personal sources of inspiration, including rock legend Stevie Nicks, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, and the pop and soul icon Aretha Franklin.
